Verlyn & Co (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates verlynco.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Our store is hosted by Shopify, which processes data on our behalf.
Information we collect
- Contact and order details: name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number, and what you bought.
- Payment information: handled directly by our payment processors. We receive a confirmation and the last four digits of your card — never the full card number.
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser, pages viewed and how you arrived, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Messages you send us, such as customer service emails and newsletter sign-ups.
Why we use it
- To process, ship and support your order, and to handle returns.
- To send you order updates, and — only if you signed up — marketing emails you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- To detect and prevent fraud and to keep the store secure.
- To measure and improve how the store works, including advertising performance.
- To comply with legal and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with parties who need it to run the store: Shopify (hosting, checkout and payments), our fulfilment and shipping partners (to deliver your parcel), our email provider, and analytics and advertising providers such as Google. We do not sell your personal information for money.
Some advertising cookies may count as “sharing” for targeted advertising under certain US state laws. You can opt out at any time using the link in our footer or by emailing us.
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the cart and checkout to work, plus optional cookies for analytics and advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies will stop checkout from working.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as required by accounting and tax law. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Other data is deleted when it is no longer needed.
International transfers
We are based in Denmark and our fulfilment partner is in the United States, so your information is transferred between the EU and the US. Where required, these transfers rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of your data. To exercise any of these, email hello@verlynco.com. We will not treat you differently for asking.
If you are in the EU or UK and are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This store is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.
Security
Checkout runs over an encrypted connection and card data is handled by PCI-compliant processors. No system is perfect, so please do not send sensitive information to us by email.

We will post any updates on this page and change the date at the top.
