Verlyn & Co exists for one reason: most affordable gold jewelry is not built to be worn.
It is a base metal with a thin gold dip on top. It looks beautiful for two weeks, then the colour goes and the piece ends up in a drawer — and nobody told you that would happen before you bought it. That last part is the bit we care about.
What we do differently
Much of our range is built on a stainless- or titanium-steel core and finished in 18K gold plating. Steel is nickel-free and does not corrode, so those pieces can be showered in, swum in and slept in — and if one fades within 100 days, we replace it free.
Alongside them we make solid S925 sterling silver pieces, and a number of designs in plated brass, alloy or copper. Those metals are heavier and warmer, and they are what makes certain shapes possible at this price — but they age, and they need to stay dry. We say so on the product page, in plain words, before you add it to the cart. No piece on this site is described as something it is not.
Small range, on purpose
We would rather carry a few dozen pieces that are genuinely good than a few thousand that are almost good. Every design is chosen because it works on its own and layers with the others.
Our promise
If a gold-plated steel piece tarnishes or fades within 100 days of delivery, we replace it free. If anything simply is not right for you, send it back unworn within 30 days for a full refund of the item price. And the price you see at checkout is the final price — if you are ever charged an import fee, send us the receipt and we refund it.
